Buff Binz Ltd — Terms of Service

Introduction
We know terms and conditions aren't the most exciting read — but they protect both of us and ensure your service runs smoothly. We've kept ours as simple and transparent as possible.
By having your bin(s) cleaned by Buff Binz Ltd ("Buff Binz", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to the terms below. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@buffbinz.co.uk.
1. Contract Terms
- By booking regular bin cleaning with Buff Binz, you agree to a minimum 12-clean term (4-weekly schedule for one year). This applies to all regular plans booked via www.buffbinz.co.uk.
- One-off or ad-hoc cleans are not subject to a minimum term but remain bound by these Terms of Service.
- The service contract is non-transferable without prior written agreement from Buff Binz. If you move home, a new agreement may be required.
- Early cancellation within the minimum term requires payment for all remaining scheduled cleans at the agreed rate plus a £20 admin fee.
- Adding an extra bin starts a new 12-clean term for that specific bin and incurs the standard first-clean fee.
2. Cleaning Schedule & Service Rules
- Cleaning will take place on your household waste bin day or within the next day of it being emptied.
- All bins must be emptied and ready on your household waste bin day to be cleaned. Un-emptied bins cannot be cleaned and may be charged as a missed visit.
- Buff Binz cleans:
- Household Waste Wheelie Bin – £10 first clean / £5 every 28 days
- Food Caddy – £6 first clean / £3 ongoing (only with a Household Waste Wheelie Bin)
- Recycling Wheelie Bin – £10 first / £5 ongoing
- Garden Wheelie Bin – £10 first / £5 ongoing
- Recycling Box – £3 first / £1.49 ongoing
(One-off cleans: Household Wheelie Bin £15, Food Caddy £10, Recycling £15, Garden £15, Box £5)
- Each bin is treated separately — please present the same bin for each clean unless we've agreed otherwise.
- Cleaning covers interior and exterior surfaces using pressurised jet-washing equipment with a self-contained water system and cleaning detergent.
- We make every reasonable effort to remove all dirt, though some staining may remain after repeated cleans.
- Please keep a 5 m safety distance while cleaning is in progress. Buff Binz accepts no liability for injury or damage caused by entering the cleaning area.
3. Missed or Rescheduled Cleans
We may miss or reschedule a clean if:
- Access is blocked (vehicles, gates, or obstacles within 20 m).
- The bin is not placed out or remains un-emptied.
- Excessive waste, debris, or human/animal waste remains.
- Weather or safety conditions (e.g. ice, storms) prevent access.
- Equipment breakdown, staff sickness, or route consolidation occurs.
If a clean is missed due to customer fault, we reserve the right to charge for the missed clean. If emptied after midday, cleaning may occur the following day.
We'll always make reasonable efforts to notify you of schedule changes.
4. Payments
- Payment is due after each successful clean via Direct Debit (GoCardless or equivalent).
- Cancelling your Direct Debit does not automatically cancel your service — please email notice at least 48 hours before your next clean.
- Accepted payment methods: Direct Debit, Bank Transfer. We do not accept cash.
- Overdue accounts may incur a £50 collection-processing fee if referred to an agency.
- Early-term cancellation fee: £20.
- All prices include VAT where applicable and may change after the initial minimum term with 30 days' notice.
5. Advance & Promotional Payments
- Prepaid or discounted cleans are non-refundable.
- Discounts apply only while multiple bins are cleaned on the same visit. If bin quantity reduces, the discount will be removed.
6. Communication & Data
- By providing contact details, you consent to Buff Binz storing your data securely for service administration. We may contact you by email, SMS, or post for operational updates or offers.
- SMS reminders are a courtesy only — it remains your responsibility to know your cleaning schedule.
- You can opt out of marketing at any time by emailing info@buffbinz.co.uk.
7. Liability & Access
- You grant Buff Binz permission to access your property boundary (e.g. driveway, car park, or private access road) to perform cleaning.
- Buff Binz is not responsible for minor marks or wear on bins caused by age, materials, or prior contamination.
- We are not liable for damage to property or bins caused by pre-existing defects, obstruction, or unsafe access.
- Customers must ensure safe access and remove obstacles on cleaning days.
8. After the Minimum Term
- After your initial 12-clean term, your plan continues on a 30-day rolling basis.
- You may cancel with 30 days' notice by emailing info@buffbinz.co.uk.
- All other terms remain in effect.
9. Zero Tolerance Policy
Buff Binz operates a Zero Tolerance for Abuse policy. Any abusive or threatening behaviour towards our staff — in person, by phone, or online — will result in immediate termination of service.
10. General
- Buff Binz may amend these Terms of Service at any time. Updated versions will be posted on www.buffbinz.co.uk.
- Continuing to use our service after an update means you accept the new terms.
